(Emma Goldman Youth Homeless Outreach Project) A non-profit that provides street outreach to homeless people and at-risk youth in downtown Olympia. Outreach includes distribution of clothing needed for survival (clean socks, blankets, jackets, sometimes rain gear, not every day clothes like jeans and tee shirts), referrals to service agencies in town and a friendly face to those in need. You can access camping supplies such as sleeping bags and backpacks through EGYHOP. EGYHOPers are out on bicycles in the evenings in downtown. Kathleen's Closet-YWCA: (360) 352-0593

Provides no-cost professional attire to women seeking employment or those just starting a job. Also provides hands-on-job-training for women in the YWCA's Economic Empowerment Program as they learn to staff, inventory and promote this service. Services are provided by appointment only. Provide clothing, hygiene supplies and food on the corner of State and Adams in downtown Olympia every Thursday night from 7pm to 9pm. Can also call hotline at (360) 705-0291 requesting specific clothing items and sizes and City Gate will make arrangements to deliver those items to the person directly. Once yearly clothing voucher given, amount varies depending on circumstances. Inexpensive used clothing sold there.
