At an initial screening appointment you will be asked to complete a patient registration form along with a brief health history. If you are unable to fill out these forms, you must bring someone with you that can. Next, you will meet with a faculty dentist who will perform a brief oral exam to determine if a student dentist can manage your dental needs. There is a $10.00 fee for this visit (insurance and DSHS coupons do not cover this appointment). Some patients will not be accepted for treatment. After you are accepted, first appointment will consist of a comprehensive assessment of teeth and mouth. A complete set of dental x-rays and oral photographs will also be taken. This appointment will occur within two months of your initial screening visit. Should allow three to four hours for this visit. No dental treatment is provided during this exam. There is a fee of $130 for the exam and x-rays. Insurance and select medical coupons can be used to pay for this visit.
