Homeless Housing

SideWalk Rapid Rehousing (RRH)

SideWalk offers Rapid Rehousing assistance to childless, homeless adults and couples.  Individuals desiring to use the Rapid Rehousing program will be assessed using the Vulnerability Index Service Prioritization Decision Tool (VISPDAT).  The VI-SPDAT helps identify who should be recommended for housing and support intervention, moving the discussion from simply who is eligible for a service intervention to who is eligible and in greatest need of that intervention.

Rapid Rehousing offers a small amount of short-term financial assistance for rental costs.  This may include move-in costs (i.e. first/last month's rent and/or deposit) and/or a small rental subsidy that may last up to 18 months. Subsidies are based on need and limited to a maximum length of one year.  Individuals with significant support needs will be case conferenced at the VI Team meeting and services will be arranged to support independent living.
